Learn more about this collection
Our Latin dance shoes are made for salsa, bachata, cha-cha-cha, rumba or samba: strappy sandals that hold the foot, a dance sole that glides across the floor and several heel heights to suit your level.
Looking for comfort above all? See our comfortable Latin dance shoes, all available with a heel of 5.5 cm or less.
How to choose comfortable Latin dance shoes
- The heel: 5 to 7 cm to start, higher once your balance is secure. A flared heel is more stable than a thin one.
- The straps: an ankle strap and straps across the forefoot stop the foot slipping during turns.
- The sole: a suede sole lets you pivot without catching. It is kept for the dance studio.
- The material: satin and glitter for the stage, soft materials for dancing for a long time.
To go further: which shoe for salsa, bachata and kizomba, and everything about the suede sole.

Frequently asked questions
What heel height should I start with in Latin dance?
Between 5 and 7 cm. That is enough for good posture without losing your balance. If you dance long evenings, a small heel remains the most comfortable solution.
Can I wear my Latin dance shoes outdoors?
No. The suede sole gets damaged and dirty on tarmac, and then it grips poorly. Put them on when you arrive at the class or the party.
Latin dance shoes or salsa shoes: what is the difference?
They are the same family: open strappy sandals with a dance sole. Salsa, bachata and cha-cha-cha are danced in the same shoes.
Not sure about your size? Measure the length of your foot in centimetres and write to us at contact@dansezo.fr: we will recommend the right size for the model you have chosen. See also our size guide.
Frequently asked questions
What heel height should I choose for Latin dance?
To start, a low to medium heel offers more stability. Experienced dancers often go higher for the cha-cha, rumba and samba. Each product page gives the exact heel height.
Can you wear Latin dance shoes outdoors?
No. The suede sole is made for the dance floor: outdoors, moisture and tarmac damage it and it loses its grip. Change shoes when you arrive at class.
How do I find my shoe size?
Measure your foot in centimetres, from the heel to the longest toe, then follow the size chart on the product page. Your first size exchange is free.
