Learn more about this collection

Discover our ballet and dance shoes for every level, from a first class to advanced training, for both children and adults. Our ballet dance shoes and ballet slippers come in canvas, satin or leather.

Canvas, satin or leather

  • Canvas: lightweight, breathable and easy to care for, it is very suitable for regular classes.
  • Satin: more elegant, it is often required for performances and exams.
  • Leather: more resistant, it offers a little more support.

Full sole or split sole

The full sole strengthens the foot, it is often recommended for beginners. The split sole (two-sole) follows the arch and highlights the foot. Ask your teacher's advice.

Our guides: choosing your first slippers, types of ballet slippers and pointe or demi-pointe. The vocabulary of the class is in our ballet glossary.

Frequently asked questions

What size for ballet slippers?

The slipper must fit like a glove, without space at the end or curled toes. Measure your foot in centimeters before ordering.

How to attach the elastic bands to the slippers?

The elastic bands are sewn in a cross on the instep, or in parallel depending on the model. They must hold the slipper without tightening.

Slippers or demi-pointes: what difference?

They are the same soft slippers: we speak of demi-pointes to distinguish them from rigid pointe shoes, which are worn later on the teacher's advice.

How to choose your first pointe shoes?

With the teacher's agreement, depending on the shape and width of the foot and the arch. Our guide: choosing your dance pointe shoes.

How to choose men's ballet shoes?

The same points apply as for any ballet shoes: pick the material (canvas or leather), then a full or split sole, and ask your teacher's advice. Above all, the shoe should fit snugly, without space at the end or curled toes, so measure your foot in centimeters first.

Unsure about the size? Measure the length of your foot in centimeters and write to us at contact@dansezo.fr: we will advise you on the right size for the chosen model. Also check our size guide.

Which ballet dance shoes should you choose for class?

Start with the material: canvas is lightweight and easy to care for for regular classes, satin is often required for performances and exams, and leather is more resistant with a little more support. Then pick a full sole, often recommended for beginners, or a split sole, and ask your teacher's advice.
