We launched Dansezo for a simple reason: a good dance shoe changes everything, but models from the big specialist brands are a significant expense for many amateur dancers, especially for a first pair. Dansezo is an online shop offering a wide choice of dance shoes at affordable prices, most between €30 and €120, sorted by dance, by level and by foot shape. Here is what that means in practice, and what you can expect from us.
Where we started
When you start salsa, tango or ballroom dancing, you quickly discover that shoes are not a minor detail. A suede sole lets you pivot without straining your knees, a well-placed strap keeps your foot in place through turns, and a heel suited to your level helps you find your balance. In street shoes or sneakers, you progress more slowly and get hurt more often.
The problem is the moment you buy your first pair. You don't yet know whether you'll still be dancing in a year, you don't yet know your ideal heel height, and the models from specialist brands require a budget that many people would rather put toward lessons. That is the gap Dansezo wants to fill: offering shoes designed for dancing, at a price that lets you get started.
What we do, and what we don't
We don't make our shoes. We select models from partner manufacturers and present them so that you can compare them easily. Each product page details the sole, the heel and the available sizes, so you know what you're buying before you order.
We'd rather say it plainly: Dansezo is a small shop, not a historic brand. Our job is to choose, to sort, to explain and to advise you, not to tell you a legend.
A catalogue organised the way you dance
Rather than leaving you to search through a long list, we have organised the shop around the questions people really ask when choosing.
By dance
Every dance has its own needs. Salsa and bachata call for a shoe that turns easily and supports the ankle well. Tango favours elegance and a feel for the floor. Ballroom distinguishes between models for standard dances and for Latin dances. You'll find collections for salsa, bachata, kizomba, tango, ballroom, Latin dance, ballet, jazz, tap, cabaret and even country.
By level
A beginner doesn't need the same heel as a competition dancer. The beginner dance shoes collection brings together models that are easy to wear, and other collections cover intermediate, professional and competition levels.
By foot shape
A wide foot, a narrow foot, a bunion, a very small or very large size: these are often the situations that make buying complicated. So we have created dedicated collections, such as wide-foot dance shoes or large sizes.

Size advice
Ordering dance shoes without trying them on is worrying, and that's perfectly normal. Before placing an order, write to us at contact@dansezo.fr with the length of your foot in centimetres. A member of the team will reply to help you choose the right size for the model you're interested in. To measure correctly, follow our guide what size to choose for your dance shoes.
Returns
If the pair doesn't suit you, you have 30 days from receipt to send it back to us, provided it hasn't been worn outdoors and is in its original packaging. Return costs are at your expense, unless the item is faulty. The first size exchange is free: we send you the right size without you having to return the first pair. For this reason, always try your shoes on indoors, on a clean surface.
Delivery
Delivery is free on orders of €50 or more in the five countries we serve. Allow around 8 to 12 working days between payment and receipt: for a gala, a wedding or a competition, leave yourself some margin to try on and break in the pair.
Guides to help you choose without mistakes
A shop isn't always enough. Many questions come up before buying: what heel height, what material, how to look after a suede sole, what to do with a wide foot. That's why we publish practical guides. To start, read how to choose your dance shoes, then our guide to the budget for your first dance shoes.
