Promotions
How do I get 10% off when I buy two items?
Add at least two items to your cart: the automatic 10% discount applies to eligible products, with no code needed. It cannot be combined with other discounts.
Shoe sizes and fit
Do your shoes fit true to size?
Fit varies depending on the models and manufacturers. Check the sizes offered on the product page and our size guide. If in doubt, contact us before ordering.
What should I do if I am between two sizes?
Measure both feet and check the model-specific guidance when it is available. Avoid automatically choosing a size up or down; contact us for advice.
Do you offer half sizes?
Some items come in half sizes. Check the options shown on each product page to see which sizes are actually available.
Delivery
How long does it take to receive my order?
Approximately 8 to 12 business days in total between payment and delivery, including preparation time.
Is delivery really free?
Yes. In Europe, it is free from 50 € (4.90 € below that amount). Elsewhere, the threshold and rate depend on the zone: from 5.90 € (free from 60 €) in Asia to 9.90 € (free from 80 or 90 €) for the French overseas territories, Latin America and Africa. Details are on our Delivery page.
Returns and exchanges
Can I return a shoe if it doesn't suit me?
Yes, within 30 days, provided it has not been worn outdoors. More info.
Is exchanging for a different size free?
We do not offer direct exchanges. To change size, return the product within the 30-day period and then place a new order. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility, except in the case of a defect or an error on our part.
Quality and care
How should I care for my dance shoes?
Brush the suede sole with a crepe brush after each session. For the upper, a soft, slightly damp cloth is enough. Avoid chemical products.
How long do the shoes last?
With regular use (2-3 sessions per week), expect 18 to 30 months depending on the model and care. Suede soles can be replaced by any specialist cobbler.
Can they be worn outdoors?
It depends on the sole and the intended use of the model. Suede soles designed for the dance floor are generally not suited to asphalt; check the guidance for your pair before wearing them outdoors.
Level and choosing
I'm a beginner, which heel height should I choose?
For salsa/bachata: 5-6 cm. For ballroom dancing: 5 cm. For classical: no heel, canvas or leather ballet slipper.
I have wide feet, what do you recommend?
Browse our Wide Feet selection and check the width options and guidance specific to each model before choosing.
Payment and security
Which payment methods do you accept?
The payment methods actually available for your order are displayed at the secure checkout step, depending on your country and your device.
Is it possible to pay in instalments?
If an instalment payment option is offered for your order, it appears at checkout along with its terms. Its availability is not guaranteed.
Brands and choosing shoes
Which brands specialize in dance shoes?
The major specialist brands are Werner Kern and Anna Kern (Germany), Diamant (Germany), Capezio (United States), Bloch (Australia) and Repetto (France, especially classical dance). Dansezo selects dance shoes made by partner workshops, at more affordable prices. Full comparison: dance shoe brands compared.
Which French brand specializes in dance shoes?
Repetto is the best-known French brand, especially for ballet slippers and pointe shoes for classical dance. Dansezo is a French online shop: our shoes are not made in France, but customer service, returns and advice are provided in French.
What are dance shoes called?
It depends on the dance: ballet slippers or demi-pointe and pointe shoes for classical, jazz shoes, ballroom shoes (pumps with a suede sole), Latin sandals for salsa and bachata, tap shoes for tap dancing, boots for country.
Which shoes should I wear to go dancing in the evening?
For salsa, bachata or rock at a social dance, choose a shoe with a suede or smooth leather sole, so you can turn without sticking, with a strap that holds the foot. Avoid sneakers with rubber soles, which block pivots. See our salsa shoes.
Does Decathlon sell ballroom dance shoes?
Few: its Starever brand mainly targets classical and jazz. A few ballroom and salsa shoes are sold by partner sellers on its marketplace, with a limited choice of heels. Our guide compares the options: Decathlon, Intersport or a specialist brand.
