Which style for which dance

  • Ballroom dancing and salsa: a lace-up shoe with a low heel, around 2.5 cm, stable for guiding.
  • Latin dances: a slightly higher heel, Cuban style, around 3.8 to 4.5 cm, which puts the weight on the forefoot.
  • Argentine tango: a closed and flexible shoe, with a sole that allows pivots and gliding steps.

Leather, patent leather or suede look

Leather and faux leather are the most common materials here: easy to maintain, they mold to the foot. Patent leather shines on stage and at formal evening events, it is cleaned with a wipe of a cloth. Black dominates by far, with a few white and two-tone models for themed evenings. The sole

The suede sole glides just enough on the parquet to turn without straining the knees. It is brushed after each session and is never worn outside: change on site.

Sizes

Most styles start at 38 and go up to 45 or 46, some to 47. A dance shoe is worn tighter than a city shoe: in case of doubt between two sizes, write to us before ordering.
